10 Minute dSolar Robot

This project is a quick how-to for building a dSolar powered robot. It's based off the nxtprograms.com 5-Minute Bot. The instructions below show the dSolar 4W panel, but you can easily put the 2W in place too.

STEP 1: Build the 5-Minute Bot. Step by step instructions on how to build it.

STEP 2: Throw the batteries out. Or at least put them to the side. You don't need them with the dSolar!

STEP 3: Build the solar chassis. This will hold the solar panel up. See pictures to the right.

STEP 4: Attach the solar chassis to the NXT.

STEP 5: Build the electrical: now we will hook up the electrical power to the robot.

STEP 6: Attach the capacitor bank.

STEP 7: Prepare the solar panel.

STEP 8: Attach the solar panel to the robot.
